A voter is entitled to vote by proxy at the upcoming Local Government Elections if he/she is unable to go to the Polling Station where he/she is listed to vote on Election Day, Monday, June 12, 2023, based on any one of the following circumstances. 1. If the voter is a member of the Guyana Police Force or the Guyana Defence Force, or is a Rural Constable, or is a member of a Constabulary. 2. If the voter is an employee of the Transport and Harbours Department and would be engaged in the running of a vessel on Election Day.
