10th July 2024, GEORGETOWN – The Guyana Elections Commission (GECOM) has taken note of several comments and concerns in the public domain relating to the removal of Dr. Asha Kissoon from the National Assembly. In this regard, a letter published in the Wednesday, July 10, 2024 edition of the Stabroek News suggested that GECOM has been silent on the matter and further suggested that the Commission should take some action to remove Dr. Kissoon from Parliament.
